Come taste that!

The tasting line-up features some of our favorite entrepreneurs and tasting experts who will make your taste buds dance for 45 minutes. These professionals are happy to share their love for the product. Of course, you'll also learn the intricacies of tasting. Do you taste oak, blueberry or flowers? Do you smell coffee, nuts or spices? What do you feel, what do you see? This will be enjoyment with all your senses.

Not only can you taste wine and coffee at length, chocolate is also a dance on your tongue of bitters, sweeteners, a crunchy bite off (is a word as of now) and luscious flavors. Especially Chocolatemakers' chocolate. The founders have a mission that promises much: "making unique and delicious chocolate that restores the planet bit(s) by bit(s). And they more than deliver on that promise. Their cocoa comes to the Netherlands by sailing ship. Their unique flavors are on the menu at Ciel Blue, which has two Michelin stars. And the best news: Marije Guillaumond and Amber Entius of Chocolatemakers are coming to our festival to join you in the guild of chocolate tasters. Includes three bars of your choice to take home and continue tasting at home.

The Good Spice

Spices tasting

It all started with a cinnamon stick from Hong Kong. Brought to the Netherlands by Iona Mulder's partner and with more flavor than any cinnamon she had ever tasted in the Netherlands. Thus was born the idea for The Good Spice: a trade in fair and sustainable spices bursting with flavor thanks to the short distance from the country to your kitchen. Together with her co-founders Charis Heising and Claudia Bown, Iona will take you through the secrets of a perfect blend during the tasting. Learn all about flavor profiles,the theory behind flavors and the importance of paying local farmers well. And yes, you will go home with your own unique, personal blend of spices.
