Primary school students discover what mobility means to them and contemplate the challenges and solutions of the future. A visit to the Mobility Experience aligns with the core objectives 35, 44, 45, 47, and 50 of primary education.
The program
A school visit to the Mobility Experience takes between 1.5 and 2 hours. The class is divided into teams that compete against each other during the Mobility Battle. The teams complete exciting tasks and everyone has to wander through the Mobility Experience, read texts, jump, bike, calculate and much more. Then it is time for the Mobility Quiz and we will celebrate the winner. If there is time left, the class may still play in the exhibition Fast, with interactive games, racing simulators and spectacular exhibits.
Practical Information
A school visit to Move Amsterdam is free of charge. The class will be guided by an experienced host, but for the guidance of the four teams, one teacher with approximately three supervisors is required.
Move Amsterdam offers a 30-minute preparatory lesson before the visit and a follow-up lesson on traffic safety. These lessons are optional; the exhibition can be visited without them. The school program at Move Amsterdam is designed within an educational framework and addresses core objectives 35, 44, 45, 47, and 50.
During the school visit, it is possible to consume a self-brought snack. It is advisable to coordinate the timing for this with the Move host.
