On Sunday, August 23, we are organizing an interactive LEGO® Robotics workshop at the Move Lab. Learn how to control your own robot with smart codes and LEGO. Whether you are 6 or 10 years old: we will show you that everyone can learn programming!
What can you expect?
During this workshop, children will build and program their own robot with LEGO® SPIKE™ Essential. Working in pairs, they will discover how motors, sensors, and code come together to bring a robot to life. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, the duos will work on a technical mission inspired by the theme of Smart City. It will be a morning or afternoon full of creativity, collaboration, and above all, hands-on learning.
Program & Group Division
We work with two different groups so that each child can work at their own level:
Time: 10:30 - 12:00
Time: 13:00 - 14:30
DUO Builder Ticket
Collaboration is essential in technology. That's why we work with Duo tickets. Together with a friend, sibling, or family member, you work as a team at one robot station. You buy a ticket for €49.50 which gives access for 2 kids. You can also choose to work on a robot by yourself, then the ticket still costs €49.50.
Included
Drop-off & Pick-up
Make sure to arrive at Move Amsterdam 5 to 10 minutes before the start of the workshop. Parents and guardians do not need to stay at the workshop and can wait inside the building in our Porsche Arcade or at places like Wils Bakery Café. We ask parents to be present 10 minutes before the workshop ends for the joint closure. Parents and guardians are responsible. Visitor conditions apply.
Bricks & Robots
This introductory workshop is given by our partner: Bricks & Robots. Specialized in providing Robotics lessons with LEGO Spike sets.
Why robotics? The courses of Bricks & Robots help children think like inventors. They learn to build, program, think creatively, and solve problems - skills they will carry with them for a lifetime. By building and programming their own robots, they develop not only digital skills but also logical thinking, collaboration, and perseverance. This lesson specifically focuses on mobility and a smart city, all in the context of Move Lab our kids expo.
